Karen and I are trying to figure out what kind of electrical plug or converter or whatever it is we need to recharge our phones (if they even work there).
The electricity is 240v, 50 cycles. Unless you have international phones, they will not work. I will have mine and Francis will have his, you will be able to send and receive text messages from them. You can buy the necessary converter in Kenya...they are cheaper there. If you want to buy one before you go, both Wal-Mart and Radio Shack sell universal converters for about $10.00.
Thanks for the information. I do have international calling on my phone and I will check at radio shack for the converter. In addition to the phone we have an i-pod and a camera that we are bringing that would both need recharging at various times.
I'm getting excited. Karen is getting nervous. I hear that Br Larry has dropped out. I guess he was getting nervous too.

Hello! I looked the site Br. Chuck recommended and it seems like we need a G converter. Here is a link: http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm
Good luck!
